Tacos for Dragons!
Dragons Love Tacos is one of Zayn and Dr. Maria’s favorite books. We decided to make a recipe for it and make some tacos for dragons!
Though you mom or dad has to make the meat filling, your toddler can help with all the toppings and assembling of the tacos.
Just remember, dragons cannot stand spicy salsa, so keep the toppings mild!

We are gonna sound like a broken record here but- global pandemic.
Chop the Onion
Use a sharp knife to finely chop the onion. Older kids may want to help with this!
Tip: have the kids wear swimming goggles to help with the eye sting!
Make the meat filling
Sautee the onions until translucent.
Add the ground turkey. Break up and cook until brown.
Add half a packet of taco seasoning (follow instructions on your seasoning, the one we used from Trader Joes asks for 1/2 packet per 1 lb of meet)
PARENT + LITTLE ONE STEPS
PLEASE ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO CHILDREN WHILE YOU ARE COOKING.
Water and soap.
One more time, with the little ones!
Grate the cheese!
You choose how much cheese you want to grate. We like a lot!
Sharp cheddar is our favorite.
Dice the tomatoes
Slice the tomatoes into rounds first, this makes it easier for the little ones.
Have them cut them up! Any shape is fine.
Shred the lettuce!
If you pick iceberg lettuce it is usually crisp enough for little hands to cut into strips.
Assemble the tacos
Hard taco shell in hand add in order:
Remember: NOOO spicy salsa!
