New Habit: Reading labels
Reading labels is something you are probably not in the habit of doing (yet). Starting and maintaining a new habit is tough. Here are some tricks from other parents:
- Use color dot stickers to signal you or another adult has checked the label
- Leave yourself sticky notes in the fridge and in cupboards
- Check the label 3 times: at the store, when you unpack it at home and before you serve it
- Keep a journal of safe foods
It takes 66 days to form a new habit. So keep those reminders out in the open and don’t get discouraged! You’ve got this.
